Having taken the plunge and made the permanent move from England to New Zealand, this website (not blog, hate that word) was born out of sheer bone idleness. Emailing people to tell them what I was up to over here sounded like far too much effort. On a related note, while drinking at Chez Acres this weekend (went to Ripon gee gees) I proclaimed that I'd be taking part in the London Triathlon in August. Watch out for me in the 1500m swim, 20k cycle and 5k run event in the extremely unlikely event that I go through with this flaming* silly idea.
*=changed from original word as to not offend OG relatives.
Lunt if you put in the same preparation to that you did for the Abbey "Dash" then you'll have no probs.
10k for me this Sunday. Oh dear.
Developments re the triathlon:
1. The triathlon is sold out
2. I'm on holiday that weekend anyway.
As someone once said, it's not the winning - it's the thinking about taking part.
