Not much to say really as I'm pretty happy with the selection.

Having taken the plunge and made the permanent move from England to New Zealand, this website (not blog, hate that word) was born out of sheer bone idleness. Emailing people to tell them what I was up to over here sounded like far too much effort. Now the effort is squarely on the shoulders of my readers who have to trawl through regular tales of drunken nights out and quiz questions. Enjoy...

As a committed In-ger-lund fan, I'm amazed that you haven't presented us with an in-depth SWOT analysis of Sven's squad. The papers here are in uproar about the gamble to include Walcott. My only gripe is why he has included Owen Hargreaves, who is rubbish.
yup,i reckon give young theodopolous a crack, bloomin tabloids stirring up trouble again.
And how comes right, if ledley king has fractured a metatarsel before wayne broke two of his, how comes wayne is in and ledders is out? not a grumble, just baffled.
Was tempted to do a full analysis but was tired yesterday.
Don't see the problem with including Walcott myself. It's a gamble but he's probably looked at the likes of Bent and Johnson and decided that they aren't going to set the world on fire.
I reckon McLaren has had summat to say about that too - it's not Sven's style to take any sort of risk and McLaren is constantly throwing untried youngsters in at Middlesboro.
Speaking of McLaren, who are the players likely to listen to most during the World Cup - SGE or McLaren? Although I'm happy with his appointment I reckon it could confuse matters slightly.
My only slight change to the squad would be to put in Defoe instead of Hargreaves (despite his ultra cool first name). I don't think you need Hargreaves and Jenas and an extra striker is always handed (especially when one isn't going to play).
strikers?
The number 9 shirt should be retired. At every club. In the world.
