Josephine does Auckland...

I was back home for the first time in nearly 4 weeks and it felt good just to be in a land where they hate Australians as much as I do.

So what did we do in Auckland? Well, on the first night we went out for a meal with Jo. Fortunately everyone got on very well and it was a very pleasant evening and mum got to see Mission Bay, one of the nicer areas of Auckland.

On the Sunday we did a bit of driving about, going over to the north shore to surprise Jo at work and take a stroll on Brown's Bay beach...

We also went for a walk on the beach at Takapuna and a little trip up Mt Eden. In the evening we were invited over to the Kidds for a BBQ. Not surprisingly, the young uns left the olds to it and went off to play Fizog. An unprecented amout of feathers and Bin Ladens but I don't think there was a Fizog.

Mum, Jayne and Kate

On the Monday we went to have a look at a few more things, like where I used to live and the domain, home to Auckland Museum. Which wasn't very exciting really. In the evening Jo met us and we went for a meal at Euro, Shane's restaurant. Delicious. And we were treated to a few extras by the big man himself. Top bloke.

And so on to the big tour of NZ...
